Tapbots today launched a brand-new version of Tweetbot for $2.99, bringing with it a new design inspired by iOS 7, revamped physics and animations, and background fetch so your tweets are always up to date. Twitterrific, arguably the best third-party Twitter client for iOS right now, has been updated to take advantage of the new 64-bit A7 processor built into the iPhone 5s. It was one of the first Twitter clients to embrace iOS 7’s new design guidelines, and it appears to be the very first to support Apple’s new processor, too.

Sometimes an explanation requires more than just words. A new iPhone app called Shadow Puppet lets users generate narrated tutorial videos or photo slideshows straight from their phone. Whatever your goal, as Apple’s erstwhile advertising campaign proclaimed, “There’s an app for that.” But some apps are simply must-haves—whether for their functionality, their interface brilliance, or just their entertainment factor. Apple released iOS 7 on Wednesday, and debuted a huge visual overhaul along with it. Heavily textured backgrounds and dark colors are out, while soft gradients, thin sans-serif fonts and bright, bold hues are in. After looking at apps designed for iOS 6, Apple's latest operating system immediately seems out of place. Fortunately, many developers spent the better part of the summer preparing their apps to look at home on iOS 7.

Twitterrific, one of my favorite Twitter clients on iOS, got a new update this week that adds Readability integration for bookmarking tweets you want to catch up with later, as well as support for image hosting service Droplr. The update also comes with a ton of bug fixes and improvements.

Twitterrific for iOS has received yet another new update that’s packed full with new features and improvements. In addition to app badges for push notifications, you’ll also find Favstar support, Twitter trends, and a long list of tweaks and bug fixes that’ll improve existing features.

TweetDeck announced in a blog post in early March that Twitter will remove its older apps from their respective app stores in May. That means TweetDeck for iPhone and Android, respectively, won't be available for much longer, and the apps will stop working soon after they're removed.

Twitterrific for iOS has received its first major update since it was overhauled with version 5.0 back in December. In addition to mute filters for users, hashtags, and domains, version 5.1 brings support for new image services, a new font, and a whole stack of improvements.
